This role sits at the intersection of product development, documentation, and marketing, ensuring new products are accurately represented, thoroughly tested, and clearly explained to end users.
Position Overview
The Product Content & Launch Specialist plays a key role in bringing new products to market. This individual will work closely with product leadership, engineering partners, marketing, and customer service to ensure new products are launched successfully with accurate documentation, compliant reporting, and effective product messaging.
The ideal candidate is highly computer-savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technical documentation. A background or passion for hunting, shooting sports, or optics is highly valued, as this role also supports dealer events and field demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Documentation & Manuals
- Work with the factory and technical writer to develop U.S.-specific owner’s manuals for all new products.
- Review and edit international manuals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with U.S. product functionality.
- Translate technical engineering documentation into clear, user-friendly instructions for end users.
- Update manuals as new features or software updates are released.
Product Launch & Development
- Coordinate with internal teams to support the new product introduction (NPI) process.
- Assist in bringing new products to market.
- Conduct field testing and provide feedback to manufacturers regarding product performance, improvements, and firmware updates.
- Provide consultations on product upgrades and future feature development.
Website & Product Information
- Ensure all new product pages are added to the website with accurate specifications and pricing.
- Work with marketing to produce product data sheets and promotional materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on launch timelines and asset requirements.
- Partner with Customer Service to monitor product feedback and identify recurring issues.
- Train internal sales staff on new product features and capabilities.
Events & Field Engagement
- Attend trade shows, dealer events, and training sessions to provide expert product knowledge.
- Support marketing and sales efforts through product demonstrations and technical explanations.
- Participate in periodic field testing and product evaluations.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort working extensively with documentation and digital tools.
- Experience editing, reviewing, or producing technical documentation or product manuals.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize complex technical information.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across product, marketing, and operations teams.
- Strong experience working with firearms and/or accessories in either a personal .
Preferred
- Passion for hunting, shooting sports, or outdoor gear.
- Familiarity with rifle optics, thermal optics, or night vision technology.
- Experience in product documentation, product operations, or technical writing.
- Experience supporting product launches or working with consumer electronics.
