Here at Legal Poaching, we pride ourselves in the work we do with our clients and the attention to detail we have with our tactical brands that we serve. As such, we want to take the time to celebrate this month for those clients we serve! August is National Shooting Sports Month and we wanted to do our part in bringing awareness to shooting sports! One major player in the National Shooting Sports space is the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) which has declared this celebration. Not only do they host the SHOT Show which we attend annually (and will be attending and exhibiting this upcoming January as well) but they encourage people to spend time at a local shooting range. They also say that to promote shooting sports, you can bring someone who has never tried, find an event near you, and even practice firearms safety among others.
One way you can participate is by finding your local ranges, which you can do at LetsGoShooting.org, and bring a friend or family member with you. It’s always fun to find your love for shooting sports, but it can feel even greater to help a friend or family find a love for it as well! Perhaps you are an avid hunter and you want to spread the love of hunting to someone who doesn’t know that space. For many people, entering into the world of shooting sports, the biggest first step is enrolling in hunter education courses and many ranges offer that service. To get started, check with your local range. If you want to start at the comfort of your home, the NSSF even offers an online resource where you can sign up for the NSSF’s SHOT University Online!

Whether you are just in the learning stages and want to learn, or if you have been participating in shooting sports regularly and know exactly what you need, there are many brands with products to offer. You can support shooting sports by purchasing products from any of those brands such as Sig Sauer, Beretta, Staccato, Cammenga, XS Sights, Meprolight, Sionyx, Savage Arms, Rise, Byrna, Lyman and that is just a handful of the many companies you can choose from.
