Right now we are working with one of our outdoor clients that has several brands which are across both military and civilian markets. They are now looking to launch an OEM Manufacturing Line which is focused on fixed blade knife products!
Our client is looking for someone who has strong experience in fixed blade manufacturing. Someone who has set up equipment, advised on best practices and trained team members on both the manufacturing and assembly side would be a perfect fit. Because this group is starting from scratch, they need someone who can advise them every step of the way. Honestly, that is the most exciting part about this role. Someone who takes this on will have a real sense of ownership in creating a much-needed service in the made in America space and will also have an opportunity to be a part of growing a new product line under a known brand.
In a nutshell, they need someone who has a passion for team building and leadership, has strong experience in the fixed blade category & has a background in manufacturing with an understanding of equipment and assembly. Since this group is looking to work on a mass scale, they definitely need someone with experience producing thousands of blades a month.
When it comes to what this role looks like, they are open to either a full-time in-house hire OR making this a consulting position. In the end, they want the best person who can come in and help them to avoid the many pitfalls that may await a group looking to undertake something such as this.
