As the Director of Supply Chain, you will provide leadership and strategic direction across all aspects of supply chain management, sales and operations planning, and inventory strategy while leading the Supply Chain team.
The Director of Supply Chain partners closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Product Management to align supply chain capabilities with the organization’s strategic objectives. The role requires strong analytical capability, risk management discipline, and cross-functional leadership to balance customer service levels, cost efficiency, and inventory investment. You will also collaborate with manufacturing and supplier partners to achieve best-in-class service levels and operational performance.
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team, aligned with corporate growth and profitability objectives
- Lead integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to balance demand, supply, and inventory levels
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain agility, resilience, and cost structure
- Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies and automation to improve operational efficiency
Supply Planning & Forecasting
- Oversee supply planning processes to ensure accurate forecasts aligned with sales projections and market trends
- Oversee scenario modeling to evaluate supply risks, demand shifts, and market disruptions
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to translate commercial strategies into operational supply plans
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop strategic sourcing strategies to optimize inventory cost, reliability, and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global manufacturing partners and suppliers
- Lead supplier negotiations to improve terms, pricing, and delivery performance
Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
- Manage inventory investment to balance service levels with working capital efficiency
- Establish inventory policies and controls to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence
- Monitor inventory performance metrics including inventory turns, service levels, and excess inventory
Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Develop contingency plans to address supply disruptions and demand fluctuations
- Monitor global supply chain conditions and proactively adjust strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance to align supply chain decisions with cash flow, working capital, and profitability objectives
- Collaborate with Product Development on new product introductions and lifecycle planning
- Oversee systems integration and reporting related to forecasting, budgeting, shipments, purchase orders, and inventory management
- Work with manufacturing partners on production planning and capacity constraints
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and supplier scorecards for accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the demand planning process delivers an agreed-upon and actionable volume forecast
- Lead S&OP management reviews, identify gaps and scenarios, and guide decision-making around trade-offs and priorities
- Communicate with logistics and distribution partners regarding inbound supply planning and budget management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and internal controls
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership
Performance Measurements
- Forecast accuracy and inventory performance
- Inventory turns and service level metrics
- Key strategic initiative metrics, including fill rate and operational efficiency
- Budget management and expense control related to supply chain initiatives and processes

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive supply chain or operations leadership experience with increasing responsibility
- Proven record of improving supply chain performance, efficiency, and service levels
- Experience implementing S&OP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or similar demand planning processes
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, supply chain analytics, and business intelligence tools
- Experience working with international manufacturers, suppliers, and global supply networks
